I think it would be interesting and maybe a bit funny if husk losing his overload status was actually planned out.

Like what if the other overlords saw that husk wasn’t as asshole-ish as them (don’t get me wrong he was still an asshole, why else would he be an overlord. BUT he was a bit more reasonable and fair then the others) and one of them was like “oh hell nah we can’t have THIS softy around making us collectively look less intimidating” and all the other overlords collectively agreed that husk needed to go.

And so they came up with this whole ass plan of getting Husk to play a rigged game of cards with one of them and thus taking his soul. (They obvs chose Alastor to do it)

They knew that Husk couldn’t RESIST any form of gambling and that he didn’t own as many souls or had as much power as them so it would be pretty easy to take him down.

In summary overlords sometimes act like high school mean girls with way too much power. Thank you for listening to me ramble
